This mounting plate will serve as an adapter for any Cannon downrigger equipped with a stationary or swivel base.  The adapter plate is capable of mounting to any of our Mounts for Multi Units, however, this plate is most popular being mounted either our Lund Mounts or our Tracker VersaTrack Mount.

High Capacity 8" Aluminum Reel - This over sized reel is similar to our 6" reel. Its frame is machined from a solid piece of aircraft grade aluminum and comes with four clutch pads made from 660 bronze. The inner hub measures 3½" in diameter and it uses a 7/16" diameter bore. Revolving handle may also be attached to this unit.

This bracket is designed to help disperse the torque more evenly across the surface of the gunnel.  By having the mount elongated to cover a larger footprint across the gunnel it creates a much more rigid surface for mounting your downriggers and elimates the possibility of flexing on the Pro Trac.  

Cannon, Big Jon and Walker, Scotty  and Cisco downrigger adpater plates are also available (as shown in the photo but sold separately).

Revolving Handle - Looking for a plastic handle? you won't find it here. We machine our handles from a solid round of aluminum to ensure a lifetime of use. All inner working components are machined from aluminum and stainless steel for a smooth and fluent revolution every time. We recommend that every person who owns an electric reel should have a handle in case of electrical failure or wiring malfunction on the boat.

This support collar is designed to help stabilize your planer mast to more evenly help disperse pressure at the mounting base.  The collar can slide over any 1-1/2" diameter pole and be locked in position by tightening the four set screws into place.  By using the thru hole in the wing of the collar you can use a variety of different methods to attach support lines to the rails on your boat.  We recommend positioning this collar towards the mid to upper location on the mast to help stabilize any excess torque when running your boards.

The down riggers uses a powerful 12 volt motor with a 7/16" inch stainless steel output shaft which rotates at 110-115 rpm. The three mounting lugs are in a 1-7/8" inch bolt circle and are 1/4" inch. fine threaded holes. We recommend using our electric controls with an 8 amp re-settable breaker included.

Our planer motors are a powerful 12 volt motor with a 7/16” stainless steel output shaft which rotates at 55-60 rpm.  Attached to the shaft is a heavy duty stainless steel collar which is built for precision adjustments of the clutch (other manufacturers use a thin snap ring which when too much pressure is applied breaks the ring causing the clutch components to rub against the motor housing, thus destroying the unit).

The three mounting lugs are in a 1-7/8” bolt circle and are ¼-28 fine threaded holes.  We recommend using our electric controls with a 15 amp resettable breaker.  For added protection, our motors include a weatherproof heat shrunk boot around the exterior of the motor/power leads and are protected with a GE silicone sealant to provide long term sustainability.

The blue male quick disconnects attached to the wire ends are compatible with the female ends on our electrical controls.  If you plan on  using our motor with a pre-existing application please select the option below indicating you would like no wire ends on your motor.

This motor is Big Jon compatible!

Planer Motor Options

Cisco - Swivel Base - The swivel base is composed from a solid aluminum and stainless steel construction.  The inner workings of this unit are operated by thrust bearings and ball bearings for a consistent and smooth rotation.  The base indexes every 22.5 degrees for 16 different positions available for use.  To ensure years of dependable use the unit is secured in position by a stainless steel pin by mating with tapered holes in the hard anodized indexing wheel.  Unlike other swivel bases, this unit is designed so that the more the unit is used the better it locates as it wears into the tapered holes to ensure that no "slop" ever occurs.

he electric control box is constructed of poly-carbonate material and has a waterproof enclosure with stainless steel screws.  The wire fittings have rubber inserts to grip and seal the wire as it enters the control box to ensure a watertight seal. 

Included in the control is a 30 Amp fuse.  This unit will control up to two motors using a single remote control.  Multiple remotes can be programmed to the same transmitter to keep spares on your vessel.  Each remote comes included with a floating key-chain attached.  In the event of a remote loss, each motor can be controlled by the momentary switches installed on the transmitter box.  Both the remote and the transmitter box will allow for in/out rotation of each planer motor independently.  

The wire is 14 Gauge Fine Stranded low voltage copper wire.  The jacket of the wire is UV/water/oil resistant.  We provide 11 feet of wire from the boat power supply to the control box and 22 feet of wire from the control box to the electric drive reel.  Extra lengths are available at customer request (additional charges may apply).

Aluminum Cased Pulley Specs:

Cisco pulley’s are constructed with solid aluminum side plates, hard anodized aluminum sheave, stainless steel ball bearings, and are bolted together with stainless steel hardware.  We manufacture quality products built for a lifetime of use!  The sheave is recessed to prevent the line from being captured between the side plate and sheave.  The 12/0 swivel is rated by the manufacturer at 1500 lbs (this swivel is constructed in the USA).

 Unlike our competitors you will not find a single piece of plastic on our pulleys.  This is why our pulleys do not make any squealing sounds when in use.  The stainless steel bearings provide a smooth and silent operation like no other pulley available!

For anglers that have an existing planer board mast on their boat (manual or electric) but want to upgrade their retrieval system this unit is perfect for you.  Our dual electric conversion kit will allow you to remove your existing retrieval setup and replace it with a powerful Cisco kit.  This unit comes standard with rail clamps that will fit on any planer board mast that is 7/8" to 1-1/2" diameter (larger clamps are available upon request).  This kit works great to upgrade reels on your Big Jon, Bert's, Traxstech and other popular mast systems.

The electric planer board reels are manufactured using precision CNC equipment from billet aluminum, stainless steel and bronze clutch components for a LIFETIME of use.  The electric motor is the strongest available on the market making the retreival of your planer boards occur in a smooth consistent manner.  Our mounting plate is extremely user versatile making it fit onto virtually any surface.

The mounting plate comes with 14 tapped hole locations for the universal mounting clamps to secure to and can be mounted to both the front and the back of the plate.  The line guide can also be adjusted to a wide variety of angles to suit individual needs.
